A cigar box label from the 1800s. The exact way pale riso ink refuses to sink into brown paper. Amoeba blobs pulled off acid-house flyers and skate decks. Every one of this week's headline drops has a paper trail, a place you can point to and say that's where this came from. That kind of origin is getting rare. Most of what passes for vintage texture right now is smoothed-over, sourceless, generated from an average of ten thousand things and belonging to none of them. These assets are real objects, real print behaviour, redrawn by hand and traceable back to the source. Here's what landed this week.

The Chromo Collection - Vol. II by MiksKS

MiksKS collects old cigar box labels, and this set of 30 chromolithograph labels and frames is what happens when someone with taste and a scanner restores them properly. The original text and branding have been lifted out, so you get the ornate Victorian printing (the scrollwork, the gilded frames, the vibrant warm palettes those old presses did so well) as clean PNGs ready to carry your own type. Ornate package design and heritage branding usually means either drawing it from scratch or scanning your own antiques and fighting the restoration yourself. This skips both. It's the sort of ornamental groundwork that pairs neatly with the ephemera we ran in Weekly Drops #38.

Kraft Riso Halftone Textures: White Dots by Pixelbuddha

Anyone who's run a real riso knows the tell: on a pale ink pass, the halftone dots sit up bright on the paper instead of soaking in. Pixelbuddha built these kraft halftone textures to do exactly that, a white-dot screen across warm brown stock, dots that read as light print on top of the sheet rather than a generic grime overlay dumped at 40% opacity. The dot scale runs across a range, so you can pitch it big and graphic or fine and subtle depending on the layout. If you're into halftones, there's more where that came from in a previous drop.

Rave Glyphs. Organic Shapes & Logo Marks by Pixelbuddha

Blobby amoeba forms, four-point stars, spiral suns, the mascot marks that ran across late-90s club culture. Pixelbuddha traced 35 of them back to acid-house flyers and Y2K skate decks and redrew them as clean vector silhouettes, each one able to stand alone as a logomark or stack into something busier. You get them as AI, EPS, SVG and PNG, fully scalable and recolourable. For brand identity or merch work chasing that era's language, this is a running head start instead of a blank artboard and a folder of blurry flyer scans.

Bandosa - Handmade Blackletter Font by Blankids

Bandosa - Handmade Blackletter Font

Blackletter usually drags a certain baggage with it: metal album covers, gothic solemnity, tattoo parlour walls. Bandosa by Blankids takes the heritage form and loosens it right up, bold vintage letterforms with a relaxed, handcrafted stroke and a coastal, surf-culture attitude running underneath. You keep the weight and the historic character but lose the funeral. Think brewery labels, signage, streetwear that wants gravity without going full doom.

ST Friday – All Capital Display Typeface by Type it Easy

Some faces are built to be read. This one is built to be seen from across the room. ST Friday from Type it Easy is an all-caps display face with ultra-clean condensed proportions and a strong vertical pull, sharp geometry that gives a layout real architecture at size. It's poster and editorial territory, the headline that anchors the whole spread and doesn't flinch. Set it big, set it tight, let it do the structural work.

CS Boldier – Bold Font by Craft Supply Co

Every layout needs one voice that carries when the rest steps back. CS Boldier from Craft Supply Co is that voice: a heavy display face built for emphasis, warm and vibrant, the type you reach for when a headline has to land in one hit. Fashion, branding, poster work, anywhere the message is short and the impact needs to be loud.

Grozan - Bold Playful Display Typeface by Roomspace Creative Lab

Chunky proportions, rounded geometric shapes, letter details with real character. Grozan by Roomspace Creative Lab has personality without tipping into illegible novelty; its cuts are unconventional but they still read cleanly, even when the type gets small. That's the tricky balance for packaging and branding work that wants to feel fun and human rather than corporate. Grozan holds both.

Liquid Frosted Glassmorphism Effect Mockup by Fakhroo

Frosted glass is everywhere right now, and building the refraction convincingly from scratch is a real time sink. Fakhroo's overlay template hands you the finished thing: transparent shapes, soft blurry distortion, a chaotic maximalist arrangement you can lay over branding, posters and digital campaign work. It's Smart Object based, so your artwork slots straight in and takes on the glass.
