Most files that get filed under "aesthetic gradient" are built to be looked at once. You save it, you set it as a backdrop, you move on. But the gradient that sits behind a Reel has a job to do for four whole seconds while a caption animates over the top of it, while a jump cut lands, while the loop point comes back around and everyone in the comments waits to catch the seam. That is a different kind of file, and most stock inventory has never been asked to do it.

The other thing worth saying out loud: grain is doing real work in 2026. As flat, banding-prone gradients start looking more suspect by the week, designers keep adding imperfection back in on purpose. Noise, film-like texture and grainy blur have become the visible signal that a person built the thing, part of a broader move toward tactile realism as the counter to AI-smooth output. A gradient with grain in it reads as hand-made because someone made a decision about how much to add.

Every file below is a named creator's own build, which is why the grain reads as intentional here instead of default. Judge them the way you would if you were about to drop them under footage: does the loop come back clean, does the grain hold frame to frame under compression, does the gradient survive being pulled from a square into a vertical story.

Armonia by Nomad Visuals

This is the one that was built for the job from the start. Armonia is a set of loopable animated gradient clips with a warm, slightly retro drift to them, delivered as 30-second MP4 loops that come back around with no visible seam. Nomad Visuals ship it in four sizes out of the box: Instagram Post, vertical Story, Full HD and 4K UHD, so you are not stretching a square into a 9:16 frame and praying. It runs at 29.97fps and the vertical and square files stay under 10MB, which matters when a platform recompresses everything you upload and starts eating your grain. Speed and the noise and hue can be edited in Photoshop, so you can dial the grain up until it holds through the export rather than shimmering under compression. If you only download one thing here for motion work, this is it.

Chroma Grainy Gradient Textures Vol. 2 by Kuro

Kuro's Chroma Vol. 2 is the deep supply run. The follow-up to a bestseller, it packs 280 individual gradient JPGs, 50 abstract shapes as transparent PNGs, 50 abstract textures and 50 premade colourful gradient shapes you can drop straight in without opening Photoshop at all. There are also four editable PSD Smart Object templates for when you want to build your own. Everything sits at 4000x3000px, which gives you room to crop into a vertical story frame and still have pixels to spare. The colour leans bold and a little psychedelic, and with this many source files you can build a whole content run off one purchase without repeating a background twice.

Escapism Vector Grainy Gradient Set by angelainthefields

Vector changes the maths entirely. Escapism gives you 16 grainy gradient textures with a sweet, dreamy 90s palette, delivered as AI and JPG. Because the AI files are vector, you scale from an Instagram tile up to a poster or a title card with no pixel breakdown, and you recolour every one directly in Illustrator's artwork colour tool. That is the useful part for motion: you can pull the exact same gradient into a lower third, a full-frame intro and a merch drop and keep the colour matched across all three. The grain is visible and warm, the kind of nostalgic softness that reads as a deliberate mood choice.

Nebula Abstract Gradient Textures by Pixelbuddha

If Escapism is the sunny end, Nebula is the deep-space one. Pixelbuddha built 45 gradient textures across dark, vivid and soft palettes, with noise overlays running through all of them, delivered as JPG and editable PSD. The dark ones are the sleeper pick for Reels, because they give animated white text somewhere solid to land without a bright gradient fighting your caption for attention. It is a futuristic-leaning follow-up to an earlier retro volume from the same creator, and the noise is present enough throughout that it holds together when a platform crushes the file on upload.

Ribbed Gradient Glass Backgrounds by Gromov Design

Fluted glass over a gradient is a specific look, and Gromov Design nailed it. These ribbed gradient backgrounds put a ribbed, refracted glass surface over bold gradient colour, which gives you vertical structure inside the frame. That structure earns its place in motion work: the ribs give the eye a rhythm to follow, and text set between the vertical lines feels placed rather than floated. Ten backgrounds at 4500x3000px and 300dpi in JPEG, moody and dramatic, and equally at home under a poster title or a product Story. It pairs well with the wider move toward gradients as full lighting systems that build depth and atmosphere.

Transient Iridescent Backgrounds by Divided.co

Fifty fluid iridescent backgrounds is a serious amount of runway. Divided.co's Transient set delivers them at 4000x4000px, 300dpi, JPG, and being true square, they crop into a vertical frame from the centre without the fluid shapes falling apart at the edges. They open in Photoshop or Canva if you want to composite text straight over the top. The iridescence has that oily, shifting quality that reads as movement even when the file is holding still, which is exactly what you want under a static caption card that needs to feel alive. With 50 in hand you will not run dry mid-campaign.

Cosmic by Ghost Who Walks

Cosmic is 30 abstract gradients pitched somewhere off the edge of the star map, and it is the strongest seller in this group by a clear margin. Ghost Who Walks built an otherworldly colour range that goes dreamy and mysterious without tipping into cliché, and it carries the Staff Select mark. These are the backgrounds you reach for when a brand wants atmosphere with no obvious reference point, a title sequence or a mood-setting first frame that holds the viewer before the real footage loads. If this is your lane, there are plenty more grainy gradients worth digging through, and the background really is having a moment right now.

20 Vibrant Glass Backgrounds by Vanzyst

End loud. Vanzyst's 20 Vibrant Glass Backgrounds are 3D liquid-glass surfaces in bold striped rainbow colour, 20 of them at a hefty 5000x5000px, 72dpi, JPG. This is the highest-energy pick here and another Staff Select, the kind of background that carries an album cover, a merch graphic or a fast-cut Reel that needs to hit hard in the first frame. The glass throws light around the frame so a title dropping in over the top catches the reflections and feels like it belongs there. Big files, big colour, no apology. If you build for streetwear or music, it slots right into the same energy as our streetwear font picks.

One last thing

A gradient a machine spat out and a gradient a person built are starting to look different, and the tell is the grain. When you can see the texture decision, you can see the hand. Pick the ones that feel like someone chose exactly how rough to make them, and your work reads as handmade.
