Description

Say hello to Shoegaze. A marker pen font inspired by the 90s Alt-Rock scene, made of awesome music, indie films and fashion influences, with an authentic hand-made feel.

A sub-genre of the alternative rock scene, Shoegaze shares the characteristics of Grunge, Punk and Psychedelia, adding its own brand of dreamy distortion, soft vocals and melancholy themes. It provided the soundtrack to 90s independent cinema, linking sound and vision to a hand-made aesthetic employed by filmmakers across their title sequences, posters and trailers. It’s a visual style that speaks of a low-fi, adolescent attitude where type is character in your overall design.

Shoegaze offers its Regular style which includes three complete sets of uppercase and lowercase alternatives, and then matches that with another Textured version which provides a much more distressed look. All of which add up to countless creative options and a quick and easy way to re-create a truly hand-made look across multiple designs and layouts. Numerals, punctuation, symbols and language support are also included, along with a further collection of underlines, symbols and shapes.
